T.G.I.F. Thank Goodness It’s Time for Outdoor Spaces!
Spring is in the air and summer is right around the corner! Last week I could hardly help myself to get inspired about all things spring and what that means – like fresh flowers, rain boots, white shoes (particularly excited about that!) and hearing the welcomed sounds of chirping birds waking up with the sun each morning. This week it is time to get our hands dirty and figure out what we are going to do with that patio that has been sitting empty for the last several months! It can be quite a task to get your outdoor space cleaned, organized and ready for outdoor dinner parties and bbq’s with friends. In fact, you could almost say that you have to re-design the space year after year. Flowers need to be planted; weather wear and tear means furniture, umbrellas and pillows need to be replaced; etc. For me, this is exciting, because as a designer and an artist, it gives me the opportunity to create something new and fresh each year. If you live in the Carolinas, look no further than my store, Knotting Hill Interiors for all of your outdoor needs! We have some great outdoor furniture in the store right now and having a blast with our Outdoor Furniture Sale offering 15% off three pieces or more and 20% off all outdoor fabrics! My amazing team has done a spectacular job in our showroom laying out the furniture to really help inspire and give you tons of ideas on how to design a space you will love. And, as always, I am available for consultations to take your patio from drab to fab, in person or on the phone! Beautiful greens with just a pop of blue will make your guests feel right at home. Everything available at Knotting Hill Interiors! This fabulous sectional, available at Knotting Hill Interiors, is going to be the center of attention at your first cocktail party by the pool! Iron furniture is a wonderful investment. It lasts forever and can be updates so easily with new cushions and pillows! Sadly, not everyone who reads my blog lives close to the store. Fear not! I have found some amazing images below to help inspire those near and far and get us all thinking about lazy evenings outdoors with a glass of wine and good friends. It is pretty obvious why I chose this image. Note: the blue and white pottery on the second shelf of the coffee table. I love this look. I also love how a pretty serving tray to refresh your guests with drinks lights up the whole look of this space. In love with the colors here. How could you not be happy in a space like this! A beautiful, colorful outdoor rug really brings this deck to life, not to mention the breathtaking back yard! GAH! I knew I wanted to find an image of a fire place to post in this blog and got so excited when I found this! It compliments the “zen” theme of this outdoor space. I love the wood, the stone and the grass elements being used together as well. Perfect for a small patio attached to a city apartment or a duplex. I love the “green border” around this space. The wall planters really bring the patio to life and the glass elements in the floor add a touch of “mod.” Ok, living at the beach and having teenage children, I have to say that this wins the prize for “most creative.” I absolutely am in LOVE with these surf showers! I cannot wait to find a client who is ready to “hang ten” with me and let me design them one for their beach home!
I would absolutely love to see you in the store and talk with you about your outdoor space and what your vision is to bring it to life along with the daffodils in your yard. You can contact me at Kimberly@ knottinghillinteriors.com and visit our website www.KnottingHillInteriors.com
