If you have family or friends coming to town for the holidays, this post is a must-read! Photo from House Beautiful ALL THE BEST – Soup on Sunday: Venetian Crab Soup As many of you know, I am a vegetarian, but for you seafood lovers out there, Ronda Carmen shares a Venetian Crab Soup recipe that even makes my mouth water! Having just returned from a trip to Venice, Ronda’s recipe is as authentic as they come! Ronda Carmen in her Venetian mask COCOCOZY – Picture Perfect Paradise – A Chic Mexican Resort that Appeals to the Designing Eye In this post, Coco brings us in for a sneak peek at the interiors of her vacation destination in Las Ventanas, Los Cabos, Mexico! COLOUR ME HAPPY - 9 Lessons from a 2 Year Old Blogger If you have any interest in blogging, or would like to know how to get started doing it, this post is absolutely full of valuable insights and tips from successful blogger, Maria Killam. DESIGN CHIC – Things We Love: Conservatories I chose this post, because the photos in it are truly inspiring! The light in these conservatories just takes my breath away and makes me want to immediately run outside into the crisp Fall air! HABITUALLY CHIC - I Got You Babe This post is quite unique and extremely interesting, as it is written about fashion icon and famous Cushing sister, Barbara “Babe” Cushing Mortimer Paley. New York interior designer, Heather Clawson, shares amazing photos of this elegant and chic lady, and recounts the story of Babe’s life, as featured in the December issue of Town & Country. Babe & William Paley with the Duchess of Windsor SLIM PALEY – Everything’s Just Plummy I love reading Slim Paley’s blog posts (especially on Sundays, for some reason?), because her writing style is just so fun and engaging! This particular post is all about everything in shades of plum and violet…. from fashion to food to art to decor… it’s all there! Very entertaining! THE PEAK OF CHIC – The Finial Touch I enjoy reading blog posts that are written about a unique topic, such as this one…. lamp finials. You know, the little “toppers” that stick out above lamp shades? Well, this post, written by Jennifer Boles, is all about a new line of chic finials created by designer, Hillary Thomas. They definitely add a new twist to an often forgotten element of design. THINGS THAT INSPIRE – Outdoor Design Elements: Bluestone In Holly’s blog post, she shares all of her insights – and tons of fabulous photos! – of bluestone pavers as an outdoor landscape element! She gives all of the reasons that this type of stone may be the perfect choice for an outdoor space. TOBI FAIRLEY – Family Room Before & After I don’t know about you, but I love seeing before-and-after photos of a redesigned space! Tobi does a fabulous job in this post of showing all of the changes and upgrades made to this home. And what a HUGE difference! WOW!
