THIS FABULOUS FRIDAY I HAVE FOUND… “It’s So Fabulous!” BLOG SUBSCRIBER GIVEAWAY of the Week: Okay, everyone…. Are you ready for another fabulous giveaway?! Continuing with my blog post topic from yesterday, I would love to hear what YOUR New Year’s decorating and design resolutions are! Then, once you receive my confirmation email in your Inbox, validate your address, and you are all finished! That’s all there is to it!). So, what’s the GIVEAWAY PRIZE, you ask???? It’s a $50 gift certificate to my retail shop, Knotting Hill Interiors! We carry everything from gift items, like candles and jewelry, to fabulous home accessories and furniture! If you are from out-of-town, not to worry… WE SHIP! The winner of the prize will be randomly selected from those who have entered the contest! GOOD LUCK…. It could be YOU, so don’t miss out! “It’s So Fabulous!” PHOTOGRAPH of the Week: I found this week’s photo while perusing a post from one of my favorite design bloggers, Heather Clawson, of Habitually Chic. The picture is of Patricia Herrera (daughter of Carolina Herrera) set in the background of an amazing toile room. Her dress is nothing short of stunning, and it reminds me of one of my very favorite design choices… blue-and-white pottery! I generally consider blue-and-white pottery as a “neutral”, of sorts, since it blends so fabulously with countless other design elements. Isn’t she gorgeous in every way!? “It’s So Fabulous!” KNOTTING HILL INTERIORS GIFT IDEA of the Week: If you would like to add a “colorful neutral” to your home, or give it as a gift to someone else, consider investing in some blue-and-white pottery! It is a classic decorating component that never goes out of style. Take a look at a few of the options available for sale at Knotting Hill Interiors. “It’s So Fabulous!” FAMOUS DESIGN HOME of the Week: If you have ever watched the HBO television series ,True Blood, you will recognize the room pictured below, as well as the characters, Bill Compton and Queen Sophie Anne. If you are in the market for a blood-curling $75,000,000 purchase, the Malibu, California home, where this scene was filmed, is now up for sale! This extravagant mansion boasts 20,ooo square feet of living space and is situated on 8 acres of the Pacific Coast…. Take a look at the photos below. He has brought over several trunk loads of blue and white Chinese pottery. It’s supposed to be ancient, but it’s almost impossible to tell the copies from the real thing. You’d probably enjoy looking at it sometime…:-) * Kimberly Grigg January 3rd, 2011 at 11:53 am · Reply Ohhhhhh! I certainly would enjoy that! WOW! What a treasure! * Karen Padgett January 1st, 2011 at 1:51 pm · Reply Loved all of the Chritsmas tips and pictures. The 5 R’s were great and helpful in my plan to declutter and simplify. Started with the closets and old Christmas decorations and plan to move on to the dining room! * Kimberly Grigg January 3rd, 2011 at 11:53 am · Reply Well done!!!! I’m on the same mission, myself! * Debbie Kilgour January 4th, 2011 at 9:12 pm · Reply Simplify and declutter are two words that need to be in my vocabulary this year! It is hard to believe I have been in this house for twenty years already. Just when you think it is all done, I feel like it’s time to start all over again! I would like to simplify with neutrals in every room and decorate with timeless pieces. Then insert pops of color with pieces that make me happy. That’s the plan at least, although it may take 20 more years! Love the blog…thanks! * Kimberly Grigg January 5th, 2011 at 12:39 pm · Reply Excellent plan! Thanks for sharing your 2011 goals! * Debra Todd Jordan January 11th, 2011 at 4:49 pm · Reply AS I approach the big 50 this year, my goal is to de-clutter and go to a more simple life-style. My son is now in collage and doesn’t live at home any longer. My home is just to full of items that I no longer need. My home has been cluttered and kid friendly for 24 years. Now, I think it’s time to loose the stuff and upgrade to adult-hood. lol I love to read your bolg and the photo’s great.
