South Carolina Luxury Designer Celebrates Beautiful Homes for a Good Cause
Each spring, the Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Museum’s Tour of Homes offers a look at some of the most glamorous and uniquely decorated homes in the Myrtle Beach area, while serving as the Museum’s major fundraiser. The 13th Annual Spring Tour of Homes is scheduled for Saturday, March 2, 2013 from 10am – 4pm. 13 years ago when our local museum was in need of finding creative ways to raise funds for their operations I decided to put my house on the market. Well, not literally on the market of course, but I thought what a wonderful experience it would be to create a “tour of homes” for the community to come together and have the opportunity to visit some of the areas most interesting and beautiful homes… all for a good cause! My house was the first stop on the tour and 13 years later my home is back on tour with a fresh new look and whole new color palate. When you visit my home on the tour, don’t forget to look up! I am also extremely honored to have one of the homes I designed on the tour as well. The fabulous Kathy Drake came to Knotting Hill Interiors with her husband, Jay Harper, 14 year old daughter, Abbie and new baby boy, Trace. Their home is not to be missed with unusual color schemes of purples, greens and grays. Just a sneak peak at the home I designed that is on tour! You have to come visit to see the rest! There are eight amazing homes on the tour and the day concludes with a fantastic lunch at The Dunes Club!
