Little Luxuries – Drink Me!

They don’t call it “Southern Hospitality” for no reason…

I LOVE entertaining. I love having house guests. I love “putting it on” for anyone that walks through my door and I have not done my job if they do not feel completely at home with all of their needs met during their stay at “The Griggs.” So, I am always looking for little ways to pamper and please my guests, as a good southern hostess would do. A very SIMPLE little luxury for your guest bedrooms, for the dinner table, for the bathrooms on evenings when you are hosting a dinner or cocktail party is to have beautiful carafe’s filled with ice water or lemon water.

A simple a gesture as water can warm hearts and make your guests feel right at home. Now, the fun part! Shopping for fabulous carafes!

Simple and elegant carafe and glass set from Bottle Green Homes – and I love the touch of a tray! Timeless and enchanting Elsa Peretti®
Teardrop carafe from Tiffany Lovely and colorful handblown glass – crafted in the South! Blenko is the oldest American producer of mouth-blown glass, and this carafe has been its best-seller since 1938. Hosting a charity dinner party at your home? Share a message with your water carafes – and let your guests take them home. (Engraved ANYTHING would be fabulous, but I saw this particular carafe for Charity: Water and thought, what a wonderful idea!) The Marta Collection by Bib & Sola. Inspired by the woman water bearers of our world brought into the home for sharing and entertaining; think summer lunches, wedding gifts and bedside table ambience…..a twist of the unexpected. I am absolutely in love with this Waterford Crystal Lismore Cobalt Blue Pitcher. The diamond wedge cuts are just stunning and would be a stand out on any table to serve ice cold water or fresh squeezed lemonade! Remember! Whether you are from the south, north, east or west – to truly embody the essence of“Southern Hospitality”, it is all about making those around you feel right at home – and it is my job to help make sure you know how to look fabulous while you do it!
