Interior Design Inspired by Fashion: An Office Space to Envy

I was recently perusing the posts of some of my favorite fellow design bloggers, when I ran across a post from Belle Maison and was intrigued by her choice of colors and patterns for her new office design. Her inspiration was the dress Gisele Bundchen was wearing on the February 2011 Vogue China cover (see below). Just as I have mentioned using “magic fabrics” to inspire room designs for my clients at Knotting Hill Interiors, Julie, of Belle Maison, used that same concept, only substituting a colorful dress in place of a “magic fabric”. From that one article of colorful clothing, Julie created a color palette and incorporated furniture pieces, accessories, and artwork into her office design…. Color palette To view the full post about her selections for this office, be sure to click the Belle Maison link above! The reason that I have been particularly obsessed with office designs lately is because I am currently in the throws of making a decision about the style of my OWN new office at our expanding Knotting Hill Interiors retail location. We are scheduled to open in only a few short weeks, so the time has come to make my final choices… Buuuuut I just can’t quite decide if I should go with something quiet and serene or peppy and fun? Which style do you vote for? Stay tuned for more photos this week of office spaces I love! If you have any fun or original ideas for a home office, please comment with your suggestions! I would love to hear from you! You may also email me at Kimberly@knottinghillinteriors.com. Now, go have an “It’s so Fabulous!” day!
